British Contemporary Artist: George Devlin
Painting: Cherence
George Devlin''s rich and varied painting career has taken him to many different countries. In 1968 Devlin was awarded a major Arts Council Award and established his own painting school, initially in Scotland but later relocated to France.
In ''Cherence'' we are drawn into the painting and towards the small Normandy village along lines of green vegetation. A stream sparkles at one side and adds to the rich array of colour, texture and light portrayed in the painting. This is a strong painting showing George Devlin''s bold brushwork and clear compositional style.
In addition to Red Rag Scottish Art Gallery George Devlin has exhibited at other leading Scottish Art Galleries. Each painting at Red Rag is sourced from the George Devlin artist studio and like all Red Rag Scottish art and Contemporary art it can be shipped worldwide.
